Vehicle Descriptions What do all Those Letters Mean?
Ford Transit Custom – 270 L1H1 105ps
The ‘270’ again refers to the GVW i.e. 2700kg
L1 refers to wheelbase ; L1=SWB, L2=MWB etc.
H1 refers to roof height; H1=Low Roof, H2=Med Roof
Renault Trafic - SL27dci 95ps
The first letter refers to the wheelbase
i.e. S = short, L = Long etc.
The second letter refers to the roof height
i.e. L = low, M = medium, H = high
The next two numbers are the GVW i.e. 27 = 2700kgs,
35 = 3500kgs
Next is the engine size and fuel type i.e. dci 95 is a 95
PS diesel common-rail engine
Other manufacturers:
L1, L2, L3 = SWB, MWB, LWB
H1, H2, H3 = low roof, med roof, high roof
